About Becky
As a marriage and family therapist, Becky's passion lies in helping others overcome their long-standing challenges that keep them back from living the full and rewarding life they deserve.
Recognizing gaps in Utah law pertaining to the protection of victims of childhood sexual abuse, Becky mobilized citizens, survivors and legislators to advocate and secure the adoption of legislation protecting children and restoring their legal rights. She provides keynote presentations, helping people to understand how to protect children from childhood sexual abuse, turn pain into a pathway to peace, and build a life of connection and resilience.
She received her BA in Music Education from BYU and has spent her life teaching in a variety of settings, receiving the Golden Apple Award for the State of Utah in 2010. After years of teaching, she realized that her favorite part of teaching was helping her students overcome their personal challenges, so she went back to school to become a marriage and family therapist.
Becky has seen up-close the all-too-common challenges of divorce, addiction, anxiety, childhood sexual abuse and eating disorders, and looks forward to using the lessons learned from those challenges, and systemic therapy, to help others move past their seemingly-insurmountable barriers to live a life of connection and resilience.
Becky presents on a variety of topics, including Supporting Clients on the Path to Post-Traumatic Growth, Preventing Child Abuse from the Inside Out, leadership, personal growth, and overcoming the Terror Barrier.
